In today’s video, let’s talk about how to compile OpenFOAM from Source!
One of the huge advantages of open-source software is that you have full access to the source code… which mean that you can edit and change it like you want to add some functions you need!
The only problem is that compiling code requires a very specific environment and set of prerequisite software which can often cause some problems to install.
Fortunately, all the procedure for OpenFOAM is well documented on openfoam.org website… but there are still many tricks you can fall into if you never compiled open-source code.
