I`ve been working with FEA tools since 1978 in the university, in 1982 i was working with some consultors in design in the industry when we made the models in paper (big sheets) and creating the inputs for ANSYS in perforated cards, I was helping in paper the tasks of postprocesser.(by hand). Later I was workin with algor(0v)
In 1985 I was working with a similar code like open source called MODULEF INRIA.(french).
Since 1990 I`d been working with many FEA codes, Ansys 5,7, 9 , work bench, nisa, etc. and auxiliars programs like Intergraph, nx, autocad, solidworks and catia for create the 3d models.
I was saying about some small idustries who demand as outsorcing the application of the ANSYS tools but paying only 15 or 25 dollards per h, and in a big (super) industry known for all the engineers in the world who used to have many people to work in design and simulating,,i was in it. the most engineers were working as MESHERS with ansys, because the idea of “don`’t use linear elements only quadratic ones, as minimum”.
